Asia Betancourt, a longtime member of the Love Heals Speakers Bureau, is featured in the mini-documentary and book trailer “Gay Life in New York’s Forgotten Outer Borough.” The documentary was shot at Staten Island Pride on June 4, 2011. Produced by Blood Moon Productions, a Staten Island-based publishing house, the video also features interviews with local community activists including Miss New York 2010, Unitarian minister Susan Karlson, and Matthew Titone of the New York State Assembly.
